Routine Caffeine is based in Louisville, Kentucky, where they consume lots of coffee and other caffeinated beverages while they play songs.
The band's first single, "Pennies in the Garden," received kind words from publications such as New Commute, WFPK and Grlsplain. New Commute wrote that the song contains "spiraling, locked groove guitar riffs that perpetrate into a multicolored dreamcloud of lazing surf rock."
The band's debut project, "Spaghetti Junction," was released in March of 2022 and was voted as one of the best local albums in the 2022 LEO Readers' Choice Awards.
UpToHear said their single “In The End Now” is a "mesmerizingly beautiful dream pop track." And Various Small Flames said the single "offers a glimpse at the band's penchant for rich, bittersweet soundscapes."
They released their EP, “Weeds Under Concrete Stones,” on October 30, 2024. Various Small Flames said the opening track, “Philodendron,” is a track that “marries a taut central rhythm with a dreamy haze, and hints at a sharp bite too.”
They released a single titled “Green Glass” in July of 2025, which is the first single off their upcoming album. They are working on mixing the rest of the songs on this project. Their next single should be released this summer of 2026.
